They have decided to stick with the 5×5 grid layout in this Cloud Quest game based around superpowers and manga. We are glad that they did too. This slot game is amazing.

Cloud Quest is built upon a brilliant anime theme. Monsters are attacking a city, and it is up to you to save them.

A little inspiration from the east with western flavours

You would think that they are trying to capitalize on the latest superhero trends but, honestly, you couldn't tell that they were superheroes anyway.

Most companies that design slots around heroes don't hide the fact that their game is basically ripping off Marvel and DC superheroes.

It seems that Play’n GO have actually gone to great lengths to try and ensure that their characters look unique, taking their inspiration from Japan instead; this is basically the unisex version of the Moon Princess slot.

As with any big adventure, you can expect the theme to just feel 'epic', and it does.

While you are not going to be getting highly animated battles in the midst of Cloud Quest, the slot certainly does have a sense of grandeur about it. Basically, it’s a real looker.

You need to be in it for the long hall

In the base game, the slot pays out in all directions. Any three symbols, whether touching horizontally or diagonally, will trigger a win. The symbols will then disappear.

This slot does not have cascading reels, though. Oh no. New symbols are not going to fall into place. Instead, a wild will appear. You then get a second bash at winning. If you are lucky enough to clear all 25 symbols on the reels, then you will get a 20,000 coin payout.

Sadly, there is no wild in the game unless you trigger it through a win.

Would we recommend this Cloud Quest slot?

The Cloud Quest online slot is certainly unique. There is a lot going on, and you really do feel like you are in the midst of a war to save a city from monsters (thanks to awesome free spins feature!).

However, we fear that it will not be enough of a slot for some people. It feels more like a game you might find on Facebook or a mobile phone app.

A good one though, and the Cloud Quest mobile slot is certainly perfect for the smaller screens and tablets.
