We love this Thunderkick Flame Busters slot simply because it does not feel like just another traditional slot machine.
If we are honest, it feels more like a retro game with slot elements, at least aesthetically.
Think of a classic retro game on the SNES or NES. The graphics in this Flame Busters slot machine are just like that.

Simple graphics and pixelated fireman

The Fires are mystery symbols
When you spin the reels, you will notice that little fires appear in some locations. These are the thematic version of mystery symbols – much like you might find in the Peacock Manor game by Yggdrasil.
When the spinning stops, the fires will go out and they will be replaced by one random symbol (never the scatter or the wild).
If there is more than one fire symbol on the reels at once, they will all turn into the same symbol.
On occasion, there will be a fire drill in the game. When this happens, up to five of the low paying symbols on the reels will be turned into fire symbols i.e. mystery symbols. This almost always seems to deliver a win.

The problem is that even with 20 free spins, it is difficult to get beyond level 3 – which is the same problem the Quickspin Goldilocks slot has.
The scatters do not come up that often. This means that Flame Busters gives the perception that you are going to make bank when this feature triggers, but it’s not often the case.
We would have loved a small multiplier being added to this feature. Just a 2x multiplier would have raised this from a 4 star to a 5-star slot review.

We love the theme of Flame Busters and the way it is all set-up. We love the mystery symbols.
