If you have played a slot at your local pub or arcade, then you will have already played something more thrilling than Mystery Joker. This is a three reel, five pay line slot machine.

There has not even been a lot of thought put into the design of the symbols. These are just your standard fruits and bells.

Maybe drawn a little bit 'better' than you might be used to, but they are still basic.

Honestly, Play’n GO mobile game studios could have spruced these up a little bit, or maybe changed them out for different symbols, and this game would have been instantly better.

This was clearly one of their first 3 reel fruit machines because it’s a far cry from the brilliant Fire Joker slot.

Why the Mystery Joker slot is not worth your time

For the most part, you are going to be doing nothing but spinning and hoping for the best. There are a couple of features in Mystery Joker, which we will talk about soon, but we doubt that is enough to save the game.

To make matters worse; this is a medium volatility slot, which means that you are going to have a lot of dead spins, and when the wins pop up… they never tend to be that high anyway.

Technically you can win 6,020 times your bet, but we’re not sure how it happens.

Thankfully, you can use all that time with your dead spins to contemplate what you are doing with your life and why you aren't playing one of the million other more interesting video slots out there. Like the Cloud Quest game. Or The Legacy of Egypt machine.

A classic slots with free spins bonus round

There is a free spin round to be found in this Mystery Joker slot online, but it is not going to be triggering anywhere near as much as you would hope.

To trigger free spins, you will need to get 3 jester hat scatters on the reels. This will give you ten free spins.

You can trigger more during your free spins (maximum of fifty), but you seriously shouldn't count on it.

During your free spins, if you get two or more scatters on the reels, you will be awarded a mystery cash prize. This can be anything from 1 coin to 100 coins. Yep. A minimum of just one coin, and it is going to be closer to this more often than not.

With no multiplier in place during the free spins round, and this rather awful potential cash bonus, we are not sure how this machine has a high RTP of 96.98%.

Honestly; this is the first time that we have ever thought that a free spins bonus round didn't have the potential to save a game. Normally we do love ourselves some free spins.
