And it’s hard to review something which is likely only going to be played a few times per year by any one person.

Look, we get why Elk Studios would design a video slot which is only going to played in a short period of time each year: you are trying to capture that season where everyone spends, spends, spends.

But we feel that slots should be built to be played all year round at online casinos. If the game is not getting played, then it is pointless.

Thankfully, this probably did not cost that much for Elk to develop because it seems to be a re-skin of Hong Kong Tower (to an extent), but seriously… it would have been so nice if they had spent the resources on a brand new game rather than tweaking an old one.

This whole section would probably be completely different if this casino game was being reviewed during the festive slot season.

But, we should all remember that people play slots online throughout the year and if there are alternatives, like Hong Kong Tower, then games like Ho Ho Tower will probably be forgotten the rest of the year.

You have several features in Ho Ho Tower. If you have played Hong Kong Tower, then you are likely going to be familiar with most of them.

They function ever so slightly differently, but not so wildly different that it will give you that much concern.

First, you have your mystery symbols, this function in a similar way to wilds, although not quite.

The mystery symbols are stacked symbols on the reels. When they appear, they will turn into random symbols to help you to form winning combinations; something you need on these 99 paylines.

Surprisingly, yes.

To us, it was a lot more fun than the original game. This is mostly down to the fact that the maximum prize is so much higher.

However, it is let down a theme that is so seasonal. Sure, play this at Christmas but it’s hard to enjoy any other times of the year.

On the other hand, this does have a 0.10 minimum bet, which for 99 payline is amazing.

We just wish they would give the original game an update to be similar in prize structure, as otherwise, we’d probably play on Taco Brothers slot which brings the heat.
